Shelley Manley

I have trained and exhibited dogs in various venues since learning with my poodle and joining Western Lakes Training Club (NYS) while still in high school. Now mostly retired, I have worked in print media, photography and design, and am an award-winning writer. I have raised, trained and shown Samoyeds and Schipperkes in the past and today am rarely seen without a Doberman. I learned about and started in Barn Hunt in 2015 with my Doberman, Bráinne. My present Dobermans, Shirriffa and Akhila enjoy several sports, including lure coursing, agility, obedience, rally, dock diving, scent work and of course, Barn Hunt! Among their many titles, Shirriffa is a Barn Hunt Champion, and Akhila is presently nomming straw in Master classes.

An Upstate NY native (waaay Upstate!), I moved to NJ in 2016 when I joined the fun at Stonehedge. I am an active member of the Ramapo Kennel Club and the K9 Dog Obedience Training Club of Essex County, NJ. I am chief editor for Stonehedge Barn Hunt. You may find me rat wrangling for Stonehedge trials, while complaining about my allergies.
